Reading JSTOR articles is passably enjoyable – I have a fetish for small print – except for the longest time I had no idea what “ibid” meant, having seen it in the footnotes of every other article. Am I the last person to know what it means, or have other people also thought that Ibid was some weird Muslim academic with a turban and a huge bank of primary sources?
